Yesterday, as the LA Clippers defeated Atlanta Hawks 90 to 83 in the NBA Summer League, marked the debut of Reggie Bullock in the National Basketball Association. It was not a bad one at all as he led the Clippers in scoring with 18 points (8 for 15 ~ 2 for 6 ~ 0 for 0) to go along with three rebounds, a trio of blocks, an assist, a steal and a turnover. The 6’7″ shooting guard was one of five players for the LA franchise to score in double figures, and got the most playing time of anyone on the Clippers’ squad with just over 31 minutes.

“That was pretty cool to be able to come from the college and seeing the Clippers play on TV and actually hearing their fans chant your name; it was a special moment for me,” Bullock said. “But at the same time I’m humble, and I’m going to continue to work.”

The former Tar Heel heard his name a couple of times in the first part of the game. Overall, for being the first game he plays at the next level, this was a good outing. Bullock showed he can play defense as well on the court, but did make a few mistakes that could have been avoided. However, if he keeps this up look for him not to just do well in the Summer League but to make new head coach Doc Rivers’ job a lot harder as he will need to find the young man some playing time as the regular season arrives.

If you are wanting to see more of the Kinston, N.C. native tune in on Sunday as the Clippers will be back in action
